The Greens advocate for cities and infrastructure projects that are sustainable and people-friendly. 21^st century cities should have affordable, networked public transport systems around which medium-density activity centres can thrive, where there are affordable housing options and access to retail services, healthcare, education centres and cultural institutions for all. Designing our cities more sustainably puts a stop to needless sprawl, taking the pressure off our natural environment, and allowing urban forests and public parks to flourish, ultimately creating healthier and happier communities.
